Halloween Reading: The Taker by Alma Katsu

Halloween HeaderToday’s chilling tale is The Taker by Alma Katsu.

The Taker may best be described as “haunting”. Not because of ghosts, but because of the quiet, deadly atmosphere created through amazing characters and writing. I would say “peaceful” if such terrible things weren’t happening… but they are. This story allows us a glimpse into immortal life as the narrative weaves between through time with a few of these (now immortal) men and women. I completely agree with Alma Katsu when she commented that her trilogy was a love story, but not a romance. Another great book for Halloween and I think it’s well worth checking out the entire Taker Trilogy.

Happy Halloween reading!
